New materials and weight reduction pose new challenges for material processing. Together with its network of partners, IMPC is developing solutions for the processing of CFRP and GFRP materials. With our newly developed VDia low temperature coating PCD and hard metal tools, have managed to increase service life by over 100%.
All this while simultaneously further reducing the costs compared to CVD diamond coating and PCD vein technology. The lower acquisition costs as well as the re-use through regrinding and recoating provide for further economic benefits.
